Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. The first time she acted was in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Then, as a supporting character in the movie Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. In the beginning, it was difficult for her to switch from modelling to acting. This is because most models don't have the ability to act. And they are usually given insignificant and small parts. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger roles beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous by the industry for her performance in the last decade. Amy continued to make major films such as the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was an adored recurring character.
