Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg but brought up in Wellington She was the first actress to appear on screen in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for portraying the bright and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's main character on the film The Piano. When she responded to a request for open auditions at age nine, and with little previous experience in acting when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath role.
