Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on the 16th of April 1997 in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. His father was Argentine with Scottish-English descent. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four come from her father's previous marriage. The family was initially from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria as Taylor-Joy reached the age of six. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was a very difficult experience. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and hoped she could relocate back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was forced to change schools. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and took part in drama productions. At the age of 16, she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy had a dream to become an actress and her dreams came true when she was given a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
