Lee Roy Selmon blends the benefits of a football scholarship within his home with the benefits of community service. His first family is that his father was the youngest of the nine children raised in Eufala with Lucious Selmon. Two, football. He is one of three brothers who played for Oklahoma. Three of them were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey was an All-Star for the whole 1973 season. Lee Roy was named the top offensive lineman in nation by the Outland as well as Lombardi Awards. For three years, Oklahoma was 32-1-1 with Roy serving as their starting line-up. They also won 2 national titles. The National Football Foundation named him a Scholar-Athlete for the third time in 1975. Selmon was awarded a degree from Education. Lee Roy was involved in voluntary work for 10 hours a week while he attended college. He settled down in Tampa after college, was a member of the Buccaneers for nine years and made three times all-pro. The business venture he started began. The first job he had was an Account Relations Manager at First Florida Bank, Tampa. In the past, he worked previously for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There's no surprise that Lee Roy was honored when the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as one of the 10 most notable young men in the country. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in height and weighed 256 pounds when he was a student athlete. He played for the team of 1975. Lee Roy joined the University of South Florida in 1993, as Associate Director of Sports. In 1993, the College Football Hall of Fame was named for the player on the 28th of October, 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame In 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. Parents, Lucious and Mary Selmon Sr. received the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon was the Oklahoma Governor who presented this award.
